Legal Interpreting Course

Six Saturdays – 7 hour days; total 42 contact hours

August 4, 11, 18 and 25, September 8, 15, 2018

8:30 a.m. to 12:30 noon, and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.


We will include the class textbook, pen, shorthand notebook, occasional handouts

and a certificate at the end of the course.

We ask that you bring a recording device (smart phone or other)

You may bring your own lunch.

We can provide a scholarship of 50% of the course cost to one (1) student per course.

A letter requesting the scholarship should be sent two weeks prior to the first course of the six to berkanalanguage@aol.com.

Cost:  Total $630.00, or $105.00 per class after initial payment of $210.00 at registration.

The Theory of Translation, Power Point presentation and lots of questions and answers, and some excercises trying to establish at what level each participant is at.

At the end of the day, exercises will be given to be taken home and done on your own like real translations.

6-hour class  $ 80.00

Going over every exercise as done by participants with comments from the instructor.

Depending on how the above system works for the participants, other classes will be programmed with lots of further excercises and reviews, and changes as needed.
